I Really Wanted to Like Her

Focusing only on the issues, I couldn’t vote for McCain/Palin, but I wanted to like Sarah Palin. I like pushy women who stand up for what they believe in, to hell with what anyone says.

But after watching this video, I wish there were a way I could underline my vote for Obama/Biden a zillion times, just to make my point. I didn’t know what the Bush Doctrine was either, but I’m not running for Vice President. I can’t stand it when people pretend to know what they’re talking about, when they clearly do not, and then we’re supposed to trust them?

Yucky yucky yucky!

In her defense, the host (is that Charles Gibson?), talks to down to her like she’s an idiot, and I can sense her aggrivation. But he’s not running for Vice President, either.

  • Yes, that is Charles Gibson. I suspect that the McCain-Palin campaign allowed that as the first interview as Gibson has a reputation for throwing ’softballs’, rather easy questions, and rarely pushes an interviewee into uncomfortable territory. The fact that Palin had obviously scripted answers for the most part and still had to stutter a bit shows she is not ready for the big house. Now, put her in a room with George Stephanopoulos or Fareed Zakaria and see how she does.

  • She couldn’t even handle the softballs!

I give her credit for attempting something she has no qualifications for. It take big balls to do something like that, but I can’t vote for her. I love this country and our way of life way too much. She’d catipult us into World War III, and we’re too close to that as it is.

  • Keep in mind that the media pretty much does not want her to get any good press coverage. The “liberal” media is called that because they “LIKE” the liberals.

You know – the ones that will tax us into the stone ages – and legislate rules to protect us from sharp pencils.

  • Tax us into the stone ages? Too late! We have a war taking care of that already!
